Your Mansfield Hockey boys, parents and friends hard at work for Habitat for Humanities

Saturday, September 15, 2008 turned out to be Super Saturday for players and members of Mansfield Hockey Association. The day started out before sunup as members of the varsity and travel teams gathered at Rose Park, then headed for West Fort Worth. For the next HOT eight hours, they worked hard on a Habitat for Humanity home that will be inhabited by a woman and her 70-year old mother who were forced to evacuate Louisiana when Hurricane Katrina hit their area.

Members who participated include Zach Nuss, Cameron Varley, Patrick Madigan, Bo Sutton, Austin Lankford, Derek Caputo, Michael Zahner, Adam Weidner, Kent Koons, Ray Kizzie, Colton Morrow, Tyler Robbins, Colton Spurrell, Tyler Cothran, Coach Madigan, Coach Vartija, Mike Nuss, Tim Thurey, Robbie Robbins and Haley Lankford. Cindy Munson stopped by early in the morning with a cooler full of iced drinks.

MHA SUPPORTS KOMEN RACE FOR THE CURE

For the fourth year, MHA is proud to support breast-cancer research for men, women and children in Dallas and Tarrant County.

Congratulations to the MHA players and friends who came out in support of the 2006/2007 Komen Tarrant Race for the Cure Saturday in Fort Worth. Twenty-Nine MHA walkers and runners raised $1025 for cancer research and services for men, women and children in Tarrant County. We're proud of our team effort!
